First, these grips are well built and they grip amazing! It's great to be able to focus on whichever pull movement you're doing without having to worry on your grip.
Only reason for the four stars instead of five is because I measured my wrist per the size chart and ordered the appropriate size. They run a little big, and I ended up with a pretty good tag end dangling once they are velcro'd tight. But this is very minor in comparison to how well they are made and how well they grip.

I use straps regularly. But for a solid back workout these grips are solid! I worry less about my grip and more on the muscle.
